Server Options
A Server Option is the backing provider configuration your key is bound to.
What it means for you
- Strict binding — no automatic fallback. Your requests run only on the bound Option — if it is slow or rate-limited, the request returns an error rather than silently switching to another server.
- Your quota is billed at the Option's markup. Each Option can carry its own markup, so billable tokens can differ from actual tokens.
- A key bound to an Option can call only that Option's models. Other models return 404 invalid_model.
- GET /v1/models lists only the bound Option's models.
See which Option you're on
The Check key page shows your Option's display name — never internal URLs or credentials.
Option names are not part of the /v1/usage response — only Check key and the vending response (serverName) carry them.
For vendors
Vendors list assignable Options via GET /api/server-options, then bind one at key creation with serverId — the binding is immutable after creation.
